Social Media Marketing for Recruiters

Hey Jess here! In this video I'll show you how to use social media to find potential candidates for your next role.

Why social media marketing is important for Recruiters

Social media marketing is important for Recruiters because it allows them to connect with potential candidates that they may not have otherwise been able to reach. Additionally, social media marketing can help Recruiters build relationships with potential candidates and better understand their interests and qualifications.

Social media marketing strategy for Recruiters

1. Choose your platforms wisely

I would recommend choosing 1-2 social media platforms to focus your efforts on. For example, if you’re recruiting for a role that requires a lot of specific skills, LinkedIn may be the best platform for you. If you’re recruiting for a role that’s more general, Facebook may be a better option.

2. Create attractive content

Your content should be attractive and engaging, and it should also be relevant to your target audience. For example, if you’re recruiting for a role in a particular industry, your content should be relevant to that industry.

3. Use relevant hashtags

Hashtags are a great way to reach a larger audience, and they can help you to filter out irrelevant content. For example, if you’re recruiting for a role in the healthcare industry, you could use hashtags such as #healthcarejobs or #medicaljobs.

4. Engage with your audience

Engaging with your audience is essential, as it shows that you’re interested in what they have to say. For example, you could ask your audience for their thoughts on a particular topic, or you could share a relevant article that you think they would find interesting.

5 Social media ideas for Recruiters

1. Use Twitter Lists

One of the most powerful features of Twitter is the ability to create Twitter lists. You can use these lists to segment the people you follow into different categories.

For example, you could create a list of people who work in the same industry as the role you’re recruiting for. This way, you can easily see what these people are talking about and engage with them in conversation.

To create a list, go to your profile page on Twitter and click on the “Lists” tab. From here, you can create a new list and add people to it.

Another great way to find potential candidates on Twitter is to use the search function.

You can search for specific keywords or phrases to find people who are talking about topics related to the role you’re recruiting for.

For example, if you’re recruiting for a marketing role, you could search for “marketing jobs” or “looking for a marketing job”.

3. Use LinkedIn Groups

LinkedIn groups are a great way to connect with potential candidates.

You can search for groups that are relevant to the role you’re recruiting for and join the conversation. This way, you can get to know potential candidates and build relationships with them.

4. Use LinkedIn InMail

LinkedIn InMail is a great way to reach out to potential candidates who you’re not connected with on LinkedIn.

With InMail, you can send messages to people outside of your network. This can be a great way to reach out to potential candidates who you wouldn’t be able to connect with otherwise.

To use LinkedIn InMail, go to the profile of the person you want to contact and click on the “InMail” button. From here, you can compose your message and send it to the person.

5. Use Facebook Groups

Facebook groups are another great way to connect with potential candidates.

You can search for groups that are relevant to the role you’re recruiting for and join the conversation. This way, you can get to know potential candidates and build relationships with them.
